1.         A virtual meeting to discuss current collaboration activities and way forward for further cooperation among Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA), Daiwa Myanmar Japan Foundation (DMJF) was held at 1:30 pm on 13^th October 2020 by the arrangement of Daiwa Securities Group Inc.

2.         At the meeting, matters related to extending the Tri-Party MOU which was signed by MICPA, JICPA and DMJF, conducting Training Program under the MOU framework, upgrading the efficiency of MICPA which is responsible to audit the financial statements of Myanmar listed companies, enhancing the quality of MICPA in auditing, improving the quality of accounting and auditing in Myanmar by utilizing experiences of Japanese accountants, and promoting the capital market in Myanmar, were discussed.

3.         The Auditor General of the Union, the Director General (Audit Department), the Deputy Director General (Administration, Training and Research Department) and the responsible officials from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, the Chief Executive from JICPA, the Associate Director from Daiwa Securities Group Inc, the Managing Director from Myanmar Securities Exchange Centre Co.Ltd – MSEC on behalf of DMJF, the Chairman and the Vice Chairman from MICPA were present at the meeting respectively.
