IDI-ASEANSAI Joint Webinar on Strengthening SAI Audit of SDG Implementation was chaired by SAI Malaysia and attended by representatives from ASEANSAI member countries at 1:30 pm on 9^th September 2020 virtually with Blackboard platform to disseminate the awareness of IDI SDGs Audit Model (ISAM) among Heads of SAIs and senior officials before ASEANSAI members conduct Performance Audit on the Implementation of SDGs of the United Nations.

The meeting started with an opening address delivered by Hon. Mr.Khalid Abdullah Khan, Deputy Auditor General from the Performance Audit Department of SAI Malaysia, which is the Chair of ASEANSAI and Knowledge Sharing Committee - KSC.

During the meeting, Mr. Yudi Budiman, Manager from the Professional and Relevant SAIs Department of IDI discussed the objective of the meeting and invited panelists for discussion. Representatives from SAI Malaysia, SAI Indonesia, SAI Thailand and SAI Myanmar discussed SAI audits of SDG implementation respectively.

After the panel discussion, Ms. Archana Shirsat, Deputy Director General of IDI, introduced and discussed IDI SDGs Audit Model established to conduct linking with 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations. Then panelists discussed regarding the questions raised by participants, led by Mr.Yudi Budiman as the Moderator. The closing remark was delivered by Hon. Mr. Khalid Khan Abdullah Khan, and the meeting concluded at 3:30 pm.

The Union Auditor General, the Permanent Secretary, the Director General (Audit Department), the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Director Generals and senior officials from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union were present at the meeting.

With the aim of developing knowledge sharing programmes among ASEANSAI member countries through exchange of ideas, experiences and current practices in the field of audit, ASEANSAI 2^nd Knowledge Sharing Committee (KSC) Biennial meeting 2020-2021 was chaired by SAI Malaysia, the Chair of ASEANSAI and Knowledge Sharing Committee, and attended by representatives from ASEANSAI member countries at 8:00 am on 9^th September 2020 virtually with Zoom platform.

At the meeting, H.E YBhg. Mr. Datuk Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid, the Auditor General of SAI Malaysia, delivered the opening speech and the meeting was held with 13 activities of the agenda.

During the meeting, they discussed the planned activities in 2020-2021, revision on the ToR of KSC, appointment of Knowledge Sharing Experts (KSE) for 2022 and 2023,   appointment of focal persons to streamline the communication, coordination and collaboration (CCC) among KSC members, funding of KSC activities and donor support of KSC activities, and the meeting concluded at 11:30 am.

The Union Auditor General in his capacity as the Vice Chair of ASEANSAI, the Permanent Secretary, the Director General (Audit Department), the Deputy Permanent Secretary and responsible senior officials from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union   were present at the meeting.

ASEANSAI Task Force Meeting was chaired by SAI Malaysia and attended by representatives from ASEANSAI member countries at 12:30 pm on 8^th September 2020 virtually with Zoom Platform to make recommendations, conduct studies and discussions on the need for legal capacity of ASEANSAI and share the results with all member countries.

At the meeting, H.E YBhg. Mr. Datuk Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid, Auditor General of SAI Malaysia and Chairman of ASEANSAI delivered the opening speech by recalling the conclusion of Executive Committee meeting held at  8:00 am and the meeting was held with six activities of the agenda.

During the Meeting, they discussed the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the Establishment of Task Force on ASEANSAI Legal Capacity (TFALC) and to conduct study on the need of legal capacity. And it was agreed to appoint SAI Indonesia as the Chair of Task Force on ASEANSAI Legal Capacity (TFALC) by ASEANSAI members and the meeting concluded at 3:00 pm.
