The Financial Audit and Accounting Subcommittee (FAAS) which was established under Professional Standards Committee (PSC) of International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) launched the “Discussion Forum” that SAIs implementing financial audit ISSAIs can participate in. The SAIs can ask questions to FAAS on issues related to adoption and implementation of financial audit ISSAIs via “Discussion Forum” at: https://www.intosai-faas.org/discussion-forum.html.

11th Collective Maha Kathina donation ceremony of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union was held at the assembly hall of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, office building No.12, Nay Pyi Taw at 9:30 a.m on 16 November, 2018. Maha Kathina robe and offertories, kyats 5,494,600 in cash and worth kyats 3,248,230 in kind, totaling amount kyats 8,742,830 were offered to the monks of the Bayargyi and the Yadanar Bhumithara monasteries. Venerable Sayadaws recited the Paritta Suttas, preached a sermon and merits for the donations made were shared.
The Auditor General of the Union, the Permanent Secretary, the Director General (Audit Department), the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors General, Directors and staff attended the ceremony.
၁။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ၏ ဘဏ်လုပ်ငန်းကဏ္ဍတွင် နိုင်ငံတကာဘဏ္ဍာရေးအစီရင်ခံခြင်းစံ (International Financial Reporting Standards - IFRS) နှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာစာရင်းစစ်စံ (International Standards on Auditing - ISA) တို့ကို အကောင်အထည်ဖော် လိုက်နာဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ရေးအတွက် နောက်ထပ်အကျိုးတူပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ ပြုလုပ်နိုင်ရန် ပြည်ထောင်စုစာရင်းစစ်ချုပ်ရုံးနှင့် ဂျာမန်နည်းပညာပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်ရေးအဖွဲ့ (GIZ) တို့သည် ၂၀၁၈ ခုနှစ်၊ နိုဝင်ဘာလ (၆) ရက်နေ့တွင် ပြည်ထောင်စုစာရင်းစစ်ချုပ်ရုံး၊ နေပြည်တော်၌ နားလည်မှုစာချွန်လွှာကို လက်မှတ်ရေးထိုးခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
၂။ အဆိုပါ လက်မှတ်ရေးထိုးပွဲအခမ်းအနားသို့ ပြည်ထောင်စုစာရင်းစစ်ချုပ်၊ အမြဲတမ်း အတွင်းဝန်၊ ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူးချုပ် (စစ်ဆေးရေးဦးစီးဌာန)၊ ဒုတိယအမြဲတမ်းအတွင်းဝန်၊ ဒုတိယ ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူးချုပ်များနှင့်တာဝန်ရှိသူများ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
၃။ နားလည်မှုစာချွန်လွှာကို ပြည်ထောင်စုစာရင်းစစ်ချုပ်ရုံးမှ ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များအဖြစ် ပြည်တွင်းပြည်ပဆက်ဆံရေးနှင့်သတင်းပြန်ကြားရေးဌာနခွဲမှ ညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူး ဒေါ်စီစီချိန် နှင့် ဒုတိယညွှန်ကြားရေးမှူး ဦးအေးငွေ တို့ကလည်းကောင်း၊ GIZ ဘက်မှ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံဘဏ်လုပ်ငန်း နှင့်ဘဏ္ဍာရေးကဏ္ဍဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရေးစီမံကိန်း (BFSD) ၏ Program Director ဖြစ်သူ Mr. Armin Hofmann နှင့် Program Manager ဖြစ်သူ Mr. Anthony Deary တို့ကလည်းကောင်း အသီးသီး လက်မှတ်ရေးထိုးခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
၄။ နားလည်မှုစာချွန်လွှာသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံဘဏ်လုပ်ငန်းကဏ္ဍ၌ IFRS နှင့် ISA တို့အား အကောင်အထည်ဖော်လိုက်နာဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်အောင် အထောက်အကူပြုရန် ရည်ရွယ်ပြီး GIZ မှ ပြည်ထောင်စုစာရင်းစစ်ချုပ်ရုံးအား IFRS နှင့် ISA တို့ကို လက်ခံကျင့်သုံး အကောင်အထည်ဖော် ဆောင်ရွက်ရေးအတွက် နည်းပညာအကူအညီပေးရန်၊ ဘဏ်လုပ်ငန်းကဏ္ဍတွင် ဘဏ္ဍာရေး အစီရင်ခံခြင်းစံများ အကောင်အထည်ဖော်ရေးကော်မတီ (Banking Sector Financial Reporting Standards Implementation Committee - BFRIC) နှင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ မဟာဗျူဟာနှင့် လုပ်ငန်းစီမံချက် (Country Strategy and Action Plan - CSAP) ဆိုင်ရာ စတင်ဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ ကို ထောက်ပံ့ကူညီပေးရန် ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
1. In order to conduct further co-operation in the adoption and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) in Myanmar’s banking sector, the Office of the Auditor General of the Union (OAG) and German International Cooperation (GIZ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw on 6th November, 2018.
2. The Auditor General of the Union, the Permanent Secretary, the Director General (Audit Department), the Deputy Permanent Secretary, the Deputy Director Generals and responsible persons from OAG attended the signing ceremony.
3. The MoU was signed by Daw Si Si Chein, Director and U Aye Ngwe, Deputy Director of International Relations Division as the representatives of OAG, and Mr. Armin Hofmann, Program Director and Mr. Anthony Deary, Program Manager of Banking and Financial Sector Development (BFSD) in Myanmar from GIZ.
4. The MoU aims to support the implementation of IFRS and ISA in Myanmar’s banking sector. According to the MoU, GIZ will provide technical assistance for the adoption and implementation of IFRS and ISA, support the Banking Sector Financial Reporting Standards Implementation Committee (BFRIC) and the initiatives as outlined in the Country Strategy and Action Plan (CSAP).
1. U Maw Than, the Auditor General of the Union received the delegation led by Mr. Zhu Mingchun, Vice-Chairman of the Budgetary Affairs Commission and Member of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee of the People’s Republic of China, at the Call Room of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw at 11:20 a.m on 6th November, 2018.
2. In this meeting, they discussed the matters concerning the Legal status and responsibilities of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, auditing work on finance and budget, publicity and application of audit results, the relationship with the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, the progress achieved and the challenge facing on enhancing public finance transparency and improving public finance performance.
3. The Permanent Secretary, the Director General (Audit Department), the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Directors General and responsible persons from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union attended the meeting.
