
Audit of Petroleum Sector Workshop was held in OAG at Nay Pyi Taw, on 26-29 September 2016 by the collaboration with the Office of the Auditor General of Norway, to be able to carry out audit works of OAG effectively.
In the workshop, Resource Persons from Office of the Auditor General of the Norway explained and discussed about the 7 steps of Petroleum Sector Value Chains which are Legal Framework, Surveying and Data Management, Awards of Contracts and Licenses, Monitoring of Operations, Collection of Revenue, Revenue Management and Allocation, and Implementation of Sustainable Policies, and fiscal regime, the role and responsibilities of key stakeholders play in that sector, Production Sharing Contract, Risk Assessment etc.
By holding the workshop, participants have understood the areas and transactions to be more emphasized and the source of information to be used as audit tools in conducting of the audit by Risk-Based Approach, and supported for their audit work. The total number of 41 people who are the staffs from OAG and Nay Pyi Taw Audit Office attended the workshop and shared knowledge, made questions and answer and discussed with Resource Persons from Office of the Auditor General of the Norway. Director General from Audit Department gave the honorable gifts to the Norway Resource Persons and the workshop was successfully completed on 29 September 2016.
