International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) Implementation Preparatory Committee – IIPC (3/2020) Online Meeting was held by WebEx link at 10:00 am on 10th December, 2020.
The Permanent Secretary from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Chair of the committee, the Director General from the Department of Treasury and the Deputy Director General on behalf of the Director General from the Department of Budget as Vice Chairs of the committee, Director General and Deputy Director General from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Deputy Director Generals from the Central Bank of Myanmar, Department of Planning and the General Manager from the Myanmar Economic Bank as members, and the Deputy Permanent Secretary from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union as the Secretary of the committee, attended the online meeting.
In the meeting, the progress of implementation on the decisions of 2/2020 IIPC meeting which was held on 11th September, 2020 and the matters to be taken forward were discussed. Moreover, regarding the Chart of Account, “Current implementing Activities and Activities to be Related between the Chart of Account and Government Finance Statistics (GFS)” was discussed by the Department of Treasury; regarding the transition from the generally accepted accounting principles to the IPSAS, “Relation between IPSAS and IFRS”, and “Presentation of Budget Information in Financial Statements” were discussed by the Office of the Auditor General of the Union; and “Administration Classification, Economic Classification and Macroeconomic Analysis according to the GFS Methodology” was discussed by the Department of Budget respectively.
