The Auditor General of the Union received the delegation led by Mr. Alvaro Fernandez, Regional Finance Officer of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) at the call room of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw at 9:30 a.m on October 31, 2019.
During the meeting, they discussed the knowledge of the latest IFAD Guidelines and TOR to be complied when performing external audit of IFAD projects in Myanmar and public disclosure policy of the audit report. They also discussed the difference in accounting policies and auditing procedures between Vietnam and Myanmar, development of an accounting software that could be suitable for the FARM project implemented by Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and how the expenditure of the project could be published transparently.
In the meeting, the Director General of the Audit Department and responsible officials were also present.
