U Maw Than, the Auditor General of the Union, received Ms. Tora Jarlsby, the Director General from the Office of the Auditor General of Norway (OAGN), in the Call Room of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union (OAGM), Nay Pyi Taw at 9:45 a.m on 24th May 2019.
During the meeting, they discussed the matters concerning the GAP Analysis for OAGM Legal Framework against the International Standards prepared by the EU Experts, recruitment and budgeting, submitting the audit report to the Parliament, transparency and providing support from OAGN for the Data Analysis.
The Permanent Secretary, the Director General (Audit Department) and the responsible persons from the OAGM attended the meeting.
The responsible persons for the management led by the Permanent Secretary and Ms. Tora Jarlsby met in the meeting room from a session of 10:30 a.m to 12:00 noon and the second session of 1:30 p.m to 3:00 p.m, and the latter shared experiences on the organizational changes, new audit techniques, ongoing programs, and modernization in OAGN; matters concerning reform processes and challenges for the legal framework, organizational structure and capacity building in auditing of OAGM were discussed.
