The meeting regarding the ASEAN Regional Project which will be implemented by Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos in collaboration, with the technical assistance of the World Bank in order that the financial management and financial reporting become effective and develop, was held at the meeting room of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union at 10:00 am on 5th November 2020 virtually with WebEx Link.
At the meeting, U Maw Than, the Union Auditor General, delivered the opening speech. And then the objectives, benefits, activities to be carried out, and result areas of the project, implementation plan and financing, the mainly responsible departments and organizations for the development of accounting profession in the public and private sectors, and their current endeavor, and the roles and stand of the Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants, were discussed.
The Union Auditor General, the Permanent Secretary, the Deputy Permanent Secretary, the Deputy Director General from the Department of Administration, Training and Research, and responsible persons from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, the Chairman of Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants and responsible persons from the World Bank, were present at the meeting.
