1. U Maw Than, the Auditor General of the Union received the delegation from KPMG led by Mr. Geoff Wilson, Chief Operating Officer, KPMG in Hong Kong at the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw at 1:30 p.m on 16th December, 2016.
2. In the meeting, they discussed about the matters on directly adoption of IFRSs conducted by Myanmar Accountancy Council, the collaboration between International Accounting Firms and Local Private Audit Firms, Continuous Professional Education (CPE) conducted by Commerce Graduates’ Association (CGA) and Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and KPMG’s technical assistance for Myanmar Accounting Professions.
3. At the meeting, Deputy Director Generals and responsible officers from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union were also present.
