U Maw Than, the Auditor General of the Union, received the delegation led by Ms. Kelly Tek, Deputy Secretary of the Embassy of the United States of America in Yangon, at the call room of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw at 1:00 p.m. on January 22, 2020.
During the meeting, they discussed the collaboration between the United States and Myanmar by sending the staff to training courses for capacity building, matters of prioritized areas and possible opportunities, the annual report prepared by the United States Government on budget and fiscal transparency of countries all over the world, support provided by the United States Government if needed, matters of Financial Audit, Compliance Audit and Performance Audit conducted by the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, processes of submitting audit reports by the Union Auditor General and Region/State Auditor Generals as well as experiences and challenges regarding relevant scopes of public sector and private sector audits.
The Permanent Secretary, Director General of the Audit Department, Deputy Permanent Secretary and Deputy Director Generals from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union attended the meeting.
