
Mr. Per-Kristian Foss, the Auditor General and Mrs. Gry Anette Midtbo, the Deputy Director General, of the Office of the Auditor General of Norway visited Myanmar from 4th to 6th December 2018 to hold high level discussions on cooperation and ongoing programs in line with the MOU signed between the Office of the Auditor General of the Union and the Office of the Auditor General of Norway.
The delegation arrived in Yangon on 4th December and visited Norwegian Embassy.
They arrived in Nay Pyi Taw by Myanmar Airways on 5th December, met with U Soe Win, the Union Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Finance, and party and discussed what they want to know regarding financial rules and regulations of Myanmar and cooperation between the Office of the Auditor General of the Union and the Ministry of Planning and Finance.
On the morning of 6th December, the delegation met with U Maw Than, the Auditor General of the Union, and party and discussed cooperation, experiences and ongoing programs between the two Offices of the Auditor General.
On the afternoon of that day, they went to the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, met with U Tun Tun Hein, the Deputy Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and Chairman of the Joint Public Account Committee of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, and party and discussed strengthening the bilateral friendship and cooperation between the two countries and matters of cooperation as for the Joint Public Account Committee regarding the audit reports of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union.
Then the delegation led by the Auditor General of Norway left the Nay Pyi Taw international Airport at 8 pm on that day.
