1.U Maw Than, the Auditor General of the Union received KPMGdelegation led by Mr.Winid Silamongkol, CEO of KPMG Thailand at the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, in Nay Pyi Taw at 9:30 a.m on 8th June, 2016.
2.In the meeting, they discussed about the Accounting and Auditing Fair (2016) which is the first program of 100-days Plan of the Office of the Auditor General of the Union for promoting accountancy and auditing, which will be implemented jointly by such Institutions as Big Four Accounting Firms, ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW; the activities of KPMG in Myanmar such as collaborations in Myanmar Yangon Stock Exchange and experiences from other countries’ Stock Exchange; and also discussed matters concerning accounting standards, accountancy and auditing and supports needed for OAG.
3.At the meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Director General (Audit Department) and responsible officers from the Office of the Auditor General of the Union were also present.
